These were taken this past summer on a keychain toy camera called a Kodak Charmera, which my sister gifted me (thank you, Sharon), in San Jose and Sacramento. The pictures are tiny (about 300kb per photo) and have this washed out dreamy quality, like it’s from the early 2000s (when you first picked up a digital camera).
It’s a 1.6 MP at 1440 x 1080 pixels (4:3 aspect ratio). I also got a 64gb SD card for it, which means I can take literally 10’s of thousands of photos of absolutely nothing and just have fun. The gallery below is a dump of some of my favorites (straight outta the camera – no editing).
I’ve had an unexpectedly awesome time snapping at anything and everything that tickled me and kinda fell in love with taking photos again. Something about shooting with a phone has always felt clunky and now, with all the software, a bit too clean. Not caring about cloud storage and just pointing the little camera at everything made me feel like a kid again.
